Dusk Fell Today...

At the behest of a friend, I am reading Coetzee's Disgrace. Thus, I am being faithful to them both. There is wisdom in his words. The writing is pure in substance, profound, and poignant. Like the poetry of Pessoa, or Leonard Cohen. Quietly staggering. I spoke to a professor today. Slowly, I resign to the idea of being out of the academy for a time. Dusk fell today as I hopped out of the streetcar, home from work. A heavy coolness filled the autumnal air, and made me think of winter.
